The Umbra is coming, and the Riverlands are no longer safe. Our family must flee to the City of Winter, to find another home.
A story game of tradition, migration, and what a family carries
This is a play surface for City of Winter: the River Scroll and the City Map, every Tradition Deck, the Banners, and the procedures of play — set out so a family can be played at a table, across a call, or alone in a journal.
Everything here is read from a structured transcription of the published game
(titterpig-dsl-city-of-winter). Card prompts, scene names, bond lists and rules text are
the book's own words; nothing is invented. You still need the game to play — this holds the state, not the rights.
The living game: the family, their Marks and Bonds, hands of Tradition Cards, the decks, the scene you are in, and every procedure from First Session Setup through Death & Memory.
The WorldEleven Riverlands locations and twenty-one in the City — their scene prompts, local traditions and connections — with the Transit Lines and the printed distance table.
The DecksAll 249 Tradition Cards across ten decks, the shape families a blank icon may draw from, and the Banners with their name-lists.
ReferenceEvery procedure step by step, the City rules, the sidebars, the optional variants, and Ask Fate — quoted from the book.
The table currently saves to this browser only. Several people on several devices need a shared data source, which a static host cannot provide on its own; the app is already built against a storage adapter so that backend can be dropped in without touching the rules engine. Until then, one person can drive the table and share their screen.
Use ?room=name to keep more than one family in a browser.
